First off I would just like to say thanks to my lil broski for allowing me to contribute to his life diary. And offer my insight on views and things that make me go "hmmmm". So again thank you for getting me involved in the Blog World.
With that being said. It just so happens to be Martin Luther King jr. Day in the United States of America. Now everyone that knows me, can easily say I'm not big on political views. Or I won't sit around talking about the civil rights movement. But I do try to keep myself up to date on whats going on. What I can say for myself though, is that when I first really knew about MLK jr. was when I was like 9 or 10 years old. I got myself into some shit and my moms punished me by making me read the Biography of the great doctor and write a book report on it. (Yes, my moms was serious like that). Anyway, I read that book front to back, and I hate reading. Thats how intriguing this man was. Experiencing so much abuse and hate towards him, to be able to focus and not fight back with violence. And to lead a movement that still impacts lives to this day. Showed me this man had more strength than you can ever have. That education and knowledge really is power. And thats always stuck with me. So on this day, I would just like to say thank you Dr. King for showing me how to dream, and to stay grounded. How to live and stay optimistic. And to just never give up on myself and my fellow people no matter what ethnicity you are. Lets keep elevating ya'll. Peace.
