"will judge you based on what you build, not what you destroy"

today is clearly a historic day. the dawn of a new beginning, not just for our amercian counterparts, but for the entire world. i didnt wanna be one of the millions upon millions to blog or document this day, but when i came across this picture, via katy perrys' blog...i decided that i was gonna be typical and post something about it! so basically, shout out to Barack Obama, best of luck and patience is a virtue!
also, aretha franklin shut it down during the inauguration with her performance of 'let freedom ring' quite the voice she has, shes gonna go far lol

The Big Debate...

Alright ya'll, um back already (hahaha, can't get rid of me that quick). With it being MLK jr. day I've been literally watching basketball all day. Thanks again Doctor. Basketball has been a huuuge part of my life since forever. It's even how I met Prezzy. There is one game today that is getting a little more press than the others. And that is the match up of the Cleveland Cavaliers going up against the Lake show from Los Angeles. Beast from the East against the best from the West. Both teams being led by two perennial all stars and soon to be Hall of Famers in Lebron James and Kobe Bryant. Being a huge Black Mamba fan I can't really give my opinion on who is better so I am going to leave it up to you.  The debate has just begun...Who do you think is better?

i know im late...but ryan leslie is a BEAST!!!!!!!!!

notice how he is the singer, producer and engineer lol if you double click the video and go to youtube, read the description!!

Thank you Doctor...

First off I would just like to say thanks to my lil broski for allowing me to contribute to his life diary. And offer my insight on views and things that make me go "hmmmm". So again thank you for getting me involved in the Blog World.

With that being said. It just so happens to be Martin Luther King jr. Day in the United States of America. Now everyone that knows me, can easily say I'm not big on political views. Or I won't sit around talking about the civil rights movement. But I do try to keep myself up to date on whats going on. What I can say for myself though, is that when I first really knew about MLK jr. was when I was like 9 or 10 years old. I got myself into some shit and my moms punished me by making me read the Biography of the great doctor and write a book report on it. (Yes, my moms was serious like that). Anyway, I read that book front to back, and I hate reading. Thats how intriguing this man was. Experiencing so much abuse and hate towards him, to be able to focus and not fight back with violence. And to lead a movement that still impacts lives to this day. Showed me this man had more strength than you can ever have. That education and knowledge really is power. And thats always stuck with me. So on this day, I would just like to say thank you Dr. King for showing me how to dream, and to stay grounded. How to live and stay optimistic. And to just never give up on myself and my fellow people no matter what ethnicity you are. Lets keep elevating ya'll. Peace.
